Off to college with your backpack? If it’s too heavy, you may have packed too much stuff. If it’s too light, you might not have all the essentials. So allow us to show the essential college backpack checklist. This includes everything you might need to survive every single day in the college. Read on to see what you’re missing in your backpack.
A water bottle
When running around from one class to another and from the canteen to the library, you probably forget to drink enough water. Now, you don’t want to die from exhaustion. So the filled water bottle is a constant reminder to hydrate!
Whether you are on a diet or not, snacks are essential for you all day. Sometimes you don’t even get those ten precious minutes to eat lunch. So, a small bag of dry fruits or energy bars or a pack of biscuits can help drive away the hunger pangs.
A hand sanitizer is one tool to protect you from infections. Your college has an incredible number of students. And only one infected student can bring down the collective immune system of the entire college. So, be sure to sanitize your hands before and after you eat. A missed day of classes at the college is more stressful than a missed day at school.
Are you a note-taking kind of a person or do you prefer to keep it all in your head? Regardless, having a notebook in your backpack is a lifesaver. You might need to jot down the important test dates or details about the syllabus or a book you need to buy. You definitely won’t find avid note takers without a notebook.
Pens and pencils
If you have a notebook in your hand, but don’t have the pens or pencils, how will you take notes? Pens and pencils seem like a normal thing, but students often forget to restock these stationery essentials in their bag. For those who love taking notes, you can have an array of coloured pens to keep your notes interesting.
Not only during a bout of cold, hand tissues are helpful in wiping stains, spilled water, coffee or your hands after eating. You might not get time to go to the bathroom, so these little things save time when you rush from one place to another.
College is very different from school because you don’t necessarily need textbooks all the time. Each professor teaches differently and therefore, has a different set of requirements for their students. Don’t forget the essential thing when you go to the class, the study materials prescribed by your teacher.
A laptop is not always allowed in a class. However, the need for a laptop also depends on the course you are pursuing. For the students of Design, the laptop might be essential, but not so much for the Engineering students. If you do most of your work on the laptop, keep it charged the night before so you can spend a productive day working on it.
