Blood Donation Camp in CGC Jhanjeri

Blood Donation Camp in CGC, Jhanjeri Students & Staff members donate 148 units of blood Taking yet another step towards its multifarious activities for welfare of the society, the NSS & NCC Units of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri organized a Blood Donation Camp in co-ordination with the Blood Transfusion Unit of PGI, Chandigarh. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Sandeep Jassal, MD (AM), the founder of Live Life More.  The students & staff members took active participation in the camp & donated 148 units of blood. A large number of donors include those who have donated blood a number of times earlier also. These students motivated others by sharing their personal experience that blood donation did not cause any weakness.  Rather, a person feels more rejuvenated after blood donation & the quantity donated by us gets regenerated within a month. The donors included 18 girls.

Speaking on the occasion, S.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that there is no substitute for human blood & a blood donor gets the satisfaction of having saved the life of someone. Dr.G.D.Bansal, Director General said that although life & death are in the hands of God, yet a blood donor stands next to God as the donor also saves the life of someone needing blood desperately. Dr. Bansal added that organizing Blood Donation Camp is a regular feature of CGC and the number of staff members & students interested in donating blood is always much higher than the expected number. In view of this, another camp will be arranged within a short time again.
