Bosch Group Sets Up Advanced Training Centre at CGC Jhanjeri

With a view to ensure the placements of its students in fast growing automobile industry, Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Jhanjeri launched an Advanced Training Centre at the campus. The centre has been established in collaboration with the Bosch Group. Bosch set up its manufacturing operations in India in 1951 which has grown over to include 15 manufacturing sites along with seven development and application centre. Today Bosch has the largest development centres in India outside Germany, for end to end engineering and technology solutions. The Bosch Group operates in India through nine companies, viz, Bosch Limited, Bosch Chassis Systems India Limited, Bosch Rexroth India Limited, Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Private Limited, Bosch Automotive Electronics India Private Limited, Bosch Electrical Drives India Private Limited, BSH Home Appliances Private Limited, ETAS Automotive India Private Ltd. and Robert Bosch Automotive Steering India Pvt. Ltd. 
Bosch is known for imparting world class training on Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems, Engine Management Systems through Bosch-KTS software. In view of increasing demand of engineers, especially mechanical engineers, in these fields, CGC Jhanjeri has set up a Training Centre where after successful competition of Training, a joint certificate will be awarded to students by Bosch & CGC which will be highly useful for the placements of students in Auto mobile Industry and in the companies manufacturing Refrigerators & Air Conditioners.
Mr. Parag Kavetkar, Training Manager of Bosch for North India inaugurated the Joint Certification Centre at CGC Jhanjeri. During his inaugural training lecture Mr. Parag highlighted the benefits of this training towards the placements of students. This lecture was attended by a large number of students.
Speaking on the occasion, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that the placement of students is close to the hearts of the management. He said CGC prepares the students thoroughly before they reach final year class so that they come out successfully in placement drives of leading companies held in CGC campus. Dr. G.D Bansal, Director General said that CGC has already established Training Centres like FOSS in collaboration with IIT Bombay and ‘SWAYAM’ where students are carrying out advanced studies in the fields of their individual interest. Dr. Bansal added that it is mainly to the pre-placement training, that most of the interested students of CGC get jobs much before they pass out.
