CGC Jhanjeri Celebrates Engineers Day

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri celebrated Engineers’ Day to commemorate Bharat Ratna Sir Vishwasaraya. Rich floral tributes were given to this great engineer of India. The institute organized various events like  Technical Paper presentation, Robo War, Robo race with hurdles, Tech talk, Quizopuzzle, Webpage development, CAD-mania, Organised Mechnocrats, Brain stormer, Tech intellect, Blind-fold, Draw,bid and sell, Puzzle surveying, Survey Gaming, AUTO-CAD drawings, Project display, Nail art, Rangoli, Mehndi, Collage making, Tatoo making, Food without fire, Best out of Technical waste and Face painting etc. Apart from CGC Jhanjeri, a large no. of colleges including Punjab Engineering College (PEC), UIET (Panjab University), Chitkara University, Chandigarh University, Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology, Ambalika Institute of Professional Studies, Gulzar Institute of Engineering and Technology (Khanna), Quest Group of Institutions, Chandigarh Engineering College, CGC College of Engineering etc. took part in various events. Non technical events of Tatoo Making, Rangoli, Collage Making & Nail Art drew maximum entries followed by technical events of Paper Presentation, Tech Talk, Mechnocrats, Brain Stormer and Quizopuzzle. Cash prizes were awarded to the winners of various events and all the participants were given Certificates of Participation.
 
Mr. Satish Kumar, Sr. Principal Scientist CSIR, Mr. Kapil Bhutani, Technical Director IETE and Mr. Money Khanna, Consultant in Punjab ECBC Cell PEDA were the Guests of Honor. They assured the students that hard work never goes unrewarded. They highlighted that there was a huge demand of engineers in the market but the main requirement today is of capable persons. The speakers pointed out that by 2022 the infrastructure in the country will get almost doubled & that will need not only Civil Engineers but also Mechanical, CSE & ECE engineers.
 
S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC extended congratulations to all the students & staff members on this occasion. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General informed the students of Final year and  Pre final year classes that the college has a large number of companies for their placements during this year. He appealed to them to attend all their training classes seriously so that the chances of their success in these companies increase.
