CGC Jhanjeri Holds First Alumni Meet

All the students having captured positions in Merit Lists & Sports Competitions of PTU Honored
 
Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, Mohali held its first Alumni meet in recently built luxurious auditorium of the campus. All graduates and post graduates who have passed out from this college upto 2017 were invited for this function. A large number of old students showed full enthusiasm in attending this event. A lively cultural programme including solo dances, duet dances, songs and group dances etc was presented by the students presently studying in the college. A number of fun games like Musical Chair Race, Question Box, Story Chain, Word to Word, Carrying the Balloon etc. were arranged in which old students took part along with their teachers. The students working in leading companies like Microsoft, Accenture, Wipro, Capgemini, John Deere, Cognizant, Mindtree, Tommy Hilfiger, Deloitte, SAP, Godrej, L&T Infrastructure, Tynor, Swaraj Mazda, etc shared their experience and gave tips to their younger ones for getting selected in these companies. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General appreciated the achievements of the students passed out during 2014 to 2017. All the students, 14 in number, who captured first positions in various exams of PTU and all other 131 students who secured positions in Merit Lists of PTU, along with those who won trophies & medals in various inter college sports competitions held by PTU were accorded special honours.
 
Speaking on the occasion, S Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC shared his personal experience with some of the old students of CGC, Jhanjeri, whom he met during his visit to Canada, USA, U.K and other countries. He appealed to the students to maintain lifelong relations with this college. Dr. G.D. Bansal, Director General said that the students are the real assets of CGC Jhanjeri. He admitted that the enviable glory of CGC Jhanjeri today in the fields of academics, sports and other extra mural activities is due to its students only.  Dr. Bansal added that the Alma Mater feels ecstatic and proud over the success of its children just like their mother. At the end all the alumni were given mementos by S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC as a token of love and blessings from their Alma Mater.
