CGC Jhanjeri holds Management Fest

With a view to develop overall personality of students and explore their hidden talents, Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri organized a management fest “Gyan Manthan”. In addition to the students of CGC, a huge number of students from various Universities & other leading colleges participated in this function. They included students from Panjab University, Chandigarh University, Guru Granth Sahib University, RIMT University, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, FGS, SUS Tangori, Doaba College, GGNIMT, Ludhiana, KVGGS 46 Chd., Khalsa College 26 Chd. and SA Jain College.  Mr. Dalip Sharma, Secretary General, Punjab Chamber of Commerce & Industries was the Chief Guest. The fest consisted of various technical & non technical events like Paper Presentation, Logo Designing, Coding Decoding, New Look, Photography Contest, Best CEO, Best Manager (GD/PI/Case Study), Panel Discussion, Puzzle Solving ability, Nukkad, Best out of Waste, MishMash, Extempore, Management Games, Stalls, Alpana, Rangoli, Modeling, Sketching, Handmade accessories, Make-up and Hair Style, Stock Bazar, Mindzone and Ad-diction. Stalls exhibiting innovative creations made by the students of Fashion Technology, games for showing personal skills & the ones offering delicious eatables prepared by the students of different courses drew maximum visitors. Fashion show, Gidda & Group Dances proved the highlight of the events arranged in the auditorium. A number of One Act Plays were enacted under ‘Nukkad’ in which the play with the most fascinating theme “Woman Empowerment” suggesting hanging up of the rapists attracted huge applause from the audience. For this play, the President CGC, S.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, announced on the spot a hefty cash prize for all the participants of this play.
 
Mr. Dalip Sharma distributed prizes to all the winners. The winners for various events included  Ramandeep & Prabhjot, Aarushi & Parul, Divya & Rakshita, Radhika & Himanshi as 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions respectively in Makeup & Hair Style competition, Ankit, kamal, Lavina, Abdul Mutalib Saika, Mandeep Kumar, Sahil, Navneet, Abhishek in Stock Bazaar competiton, Amit, Aditya, Jahanvee, Priya & Rajbati in Paper Presentation, Faridul, Ajijur, Amad, Tushar, Sunadha, Kamran, Vinay, Shivam in Best out of waste competition, Arun, Shrejase, Ruchika in Sketching, Navneet Kaur, Gurpreet Singh, Aman Sharma in Best Manager and many more. 
 
Speaking on the occasion, S.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC appreciated the presentations of the students which he said were no less than the cultural presentations & dances of the established professionals. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General, said that such events are extremely useful for overall personality growth of students. He added that the overall growth of the students’ personality is the main reason for the placements of CGC Jhanjeri students in various MNCs & other leading companies of India.
