About B.Tech Electronics & Communications Engineering (Lateral Entry) at CGC Jhanjeri
The objective of B.Tech Electronics & Communications Engineering (Lateral Entry) is to equip students with the basic knowledge of engineering and to make them capable to excel in higher education / technical profession/industry by providing a robust foundation in mathematics, science, and engineering. Graduates will develop knowledge in the field of signal processing, wireless communication, and VLSI design.
Admission through Lateral Entry to Second Year
- Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution with a minimum of 45% marks in an appropriate stream of engineering/technology or
- Passed B.Sc. degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with minimum 45% marks and passed XII with mathematics.
- B. Sc. stream students should clear Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year.
The prospective student should have a good moral character and should fulfill the condition mentioned in Punjab Government Notification. The candidate should be a citizen of India and fulfill all requirements laid down by PTU.

|Bsc. Degree Holders||Passed B.Sc. degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject. (Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Programme along with the second year subjects.)|
