S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal – Hon’ble President CGC Jhanjeri interacted with employees to boost their

morale amid the hard times, and Dr. Kamalpreet Singh – Medical Expert of CGC Group spoke about

precautionary measures that can be taken to deal with the fatal virus.


Amid the second wave of Covid-19 and the increasing number of cases in the country, Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri organized a virtual interactive session for staff and faculty on ‘Covid-19 Safety & Precautions’. The purpose of the session was to boost the morale of employees amid the uncertain times, and teach them – how to keep safe in the new normal and do’s and don’ts to follow if detected positive with coronavirus.

The session kick-started with the inspiring words of S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal – Hon’ble President CGC Jhanjeri. During his address to employees, he said, “Health and well-being of CGC family is our prime focus at this moment. Therefore, we are taking all possible steps, in the form of regular sanitization of campus, daily thermal scanning, wearing masks, etc, to reduce the chances of spreading COVID-19 on our campus.”

He also enlightened the staff and faculty about the Covid-Care facility that has been set up for CGC Jhanjeri employees and their families at the campus. The facility includes an isolation ward and oxygen cylinders. He also urged and motivated everyone to get vaccinated as vaccination reduces the risk of hospitalisation and death to a great extent. Concluding his address, he ensured the employees that CGC Jhanjeri is always by their side in this moment of uncertainty and crisis.

Dr. Jaskiran Kaur – Director Management CGC Jhanjeri was the moderator of the session. The session was taken further by Dr. Kamalpreet Singh – Medical Expert, CGC Group. He explained to the employees about – what to do if you or anyone near you gets the symptoms of Covid-19. He also cleared several doubts and questions that linger in the minds of people about home isolation, screening and treatment protocols.

An hour-long session concluded with a vote of thanks to Hon’ble S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal and Dr. Kamalpreet Singh.
