To salute the nation and its great freedom fighters on the occasion of 75th Independence Day, Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri hosted an event for the staff and students of the college. The celebrations were organized keeping in mind the Covid-19 protocols and guidelines.

The day began with unfurling the tricolour by S. Balbir Singh Dhol, Registrar & Sr. Director – CGC Jhanjeri and Mr Sahil Kapoor, Associate Director Marketing & Business Development – CGC Jhanjeri, which was followed by a parade by our NCC Cadets.

The celebrations then continued with chanting of the National Anthem and patriotic songs, honouring of NCC Cadets and a formal address by S. Balbir Singh Dhol, in which he inspired the CGC-J fraternity to love our motherland.

Later, the entire staff and students showcased the brilliant display of patriotic songs, poetry, dance and more that was a tribute to the nation, its great history and culture. The students and staff also expressed their sentiments and aspiration for the country through their speeches. The aim behind hosting the event was to celebrate the uniqueness and richness of India’s history and culture.

The activities hosted during the celebrations, which included Singing, Dancing, Patriotic Poetry, Rangoli Making Competition, Patriotic Costume Contest and more showcased a colourful spectacle of India's vision. Various fun activities and the photo booth were also set up during the celebration that took the energy of the event to the next level. It was indeed an event soaked in the spirit of patriotism and love for the nation.
