With a wiew to update its students about the power of driving consumer behavior an expert lecture was organized by the Faculty of Management, CGC Jhanjeri in association with the UC Leuven Limberg University Belgium. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Sebastiaan Boussauw, Lecturer of Business Management and Coordinator of Marketing Management. The talk was addressed to the students of management and commerce to give them an insight on the impact of consumer behavior, business sustainability and its effect on society and environment.
Mr. Boussauw began his addres with a brief introduction about the autopilot behavior of a consumer regarding decision making. He threw light on various contemporary concepts like nudging effects, fair trade practices, Eco-shame and its relevance in stimulating consumer behaviour. His focus lay on cutting edge solutions from academia and industry that would enable and support companies in their efforts towards sustainability in business. He illustrated the efforts of companies like Tesla Motors, Adidas, Burger King and Too Good To Go app in this respect.
Towards the end, Mr. Boussauw also talked about various student exchange programs available with UC Leuven Limberg University, Belgium. He also invited the students to present their ideas in the upcoming Change Maker Boot Camp – 2020 to be held in August this year.
Connecting about the talk delivered by Mr.Sebastion, S.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that with a view to update the knowledge of its students about the fields of their interest the college keeps an inviting expert from India and abroad throughout the year. Dr. G.D Bansal, Director General said that CGC Has signed an MOU with this leading University of Belgium. Under this MOU, an no. of CGC students have already availed facilities of taking training & attending internship programs in Belgium.
