Students Win IKGPTU�s

Continuing their spree of winning trophies, the students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri displayed their supremacy in IKG PTU’s Inter College Weight Lifting, Power Lifting & Best Physique Tournament 2019-20. In this tournament, as many as 13 colleges participated. The students of CGC Jhanjeri took part in all the three parts of this tournament i.e. Wight Lifting, Power Lifting and Best Physique Competitions. In Power Lifting CGC Jhanjeri Students Anany Angral won 2nd position (Silver Medal) in 74 Kg weight category by lifting a total weight of 482 Kg, Ritesh sharma won 3rd position (Bronze  Medal) in 74 Kg weight category by lifting a weight of 427 Kg,and Nayak linkan won 3rd position (bronze medal) in 66kg weight category by lifting weight of 387kg   

In Best Physique competition, Shivam Yadav won 1st position (Gold Medal) in 80 Kg weight category, Yawar Nazir won 1st position (Gold Medal) in 65 Kg weight category, Nawal 2n dposition (Silver medal) in 60 Kg weight category, Anany Angral won 2nd position (Silver Medal) in 75 Kg weight category, Karanpreet Singh also won 2nd position (Silver Medal) in 85 Kg weight category Rohit Singh won 3rd position (bronze Medal) in 75 kg Weight category,. Ritesh Sharma won 3rd position (Bronze Medal) in 85 Kg weight category. Finally with 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals, the team of CGC Jhanjeri was awarded overall Winner Trophy in Best Physique competition of this Tournament. Apart from this IKG PTU Over all best physique 2019 -20 title winner Mr. PTU Yawar Nazer from CGC Jhanjeri was honored with the title of Mr. IKGPTU’s overall Best Physique Winner.

Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC conveyed his congratulations to all the winners. Dr. G.D.Bansal Director general said that the students of CGC Jhanjeri are giving excellent performance in sports.
