International Exposure for CGC Jhanjeri Students

With the aim of improving the overall knowledge and international exposure of its students, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri signed Memorandum of Understanding with International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences (AIESEC). This MOU will open up cross-cultural internship and volunteer exchange avenues for the students of CGC Jhanjeri.

AIESEC is the largest youth run-not-for profit organization that believes in shaping leaders for tomorrow. AIESEC aims to bridge the existing gap by providing 4-6 weeks technical and non-technical internships in the fields of mobile app development, web development, business administration, digital marketing, social media handling, volunteering in NGOs, fund raising etc. in all the leading countries of the world. With this internship the students not only gain technical knowledge but also understand different cultures which in turn shapes them to be better leaders. AIESEC provides these internships at subsidised cost and keeps in mind that the student going abroad has no prior knowledge of the culture & language of that country. An exchange person who is well versed with the culture and language of that country is assigned to the students to assist them at all times.

Mr. Saatvik Srivastava, President AIESEC Chandigarh along with ex-President Mr. Amandeep visited CGC Jhanjeri and discussed internship opportunities with the students through AIESEC on global platform. In view of excellent response of the students and their keen interest in this internship programme, the college signed an MOU with AIESEC.

Speaking on the occasion, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC Jhanjeri thanked AIESEC for extending their co-operation in providing this novel opportunity to the students. He added that collaborations like this will continue to take place in future also to provide premium learning experience to students. Dr. G.D. Bansal, Director General highlighted the benefits that the students will receive under this MOU. He stressed that global and multi-cultural exposure of students is essential for their all-round development. Dr. Bansal is confident that this experience will multiply the employability of the students and they will be more successful in the company that they join.
