Pre-placement Training in CGC Jhanjeri for 2020 Batch Students

                                                                                        More than 280 offers received for students passing out in 2019

With a view to prepare the students for placements in MNCs & other leading companies of India, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri launched a well-planned Pre-placement Training Programme for its pre final year students. As per calendar of IKG Punjab Technical University, the students are given summer vacation for about six weeks after their pre final year end semester examinations. In CGC Jhanjeri, most of the companies start holding their campus placements from the beginning of the new semester. With a view to utilize this summer vacation period effectively, the students & the Faculty members have decided to forego their summer vacation & prepare for the upcoming placement drives. The college has made elaborate arrangements for this training and have recruited experts for this purpose. During this period, the students will be given a crash course on Logical reasoning, Quantitative Analysis, Communication Skills and Technical Training.

Speaking about the programme, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that placement of students is extremely close to the heart of the management. For this, a large no. of companies are invited for holding their placement drives in the campus throughout the year. CGC Jhanjeri gives specialised training to its students right from the beginning of their courses. With this crash course during summer vacation, the entire training of the students will get refreshed and enriched & their success rate will tremendously improve. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General, said that for the Batch passing out in July 2019 more than 280 offers have already been received from leading companies for the students of B.Tech., MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Com, Agriculture & Fashion Technology courses. Some of these companies include Medlife International, IBM, Hexaware Technologies, Cognizant, Tower Research, Capgemini, Wipro, Persistent, Walmart, Natron Energy, Torrent Group, Byjus (Think & Learn); Flipkart, Karvy, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Ceasefire Industries, Mount Meru, India Mart India Mesh, HDFC Bank, Aegon Life Insurance, Red Carpet, IT Connect Us, RBS (SIPL), JCBL, Marks & Spencer and others at hefty pay packages of upto Rs. 20 Lakh per annum. With this summer vacation training for the students of the batch passing out in 2020, the number of offers for the students of this campus is likely to increase tremendously.
