278 Pan India Principals honoured with Bhishma Awards – 2019


Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri (CGC) achieved yet another milestone by organizing Bhishma Award Distribution Ceremony in the Campus for the year 2019. This award is given by Bhishma Awards organization to the best School Principals of India. This organization works under the guidance of Mr. Navdeep, Mr. Gaurav Arora, Mrs. Mamta Anand and others. Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra was the Chief Guest of the function. He advised the Principals to keep on working sincerely as the entire responsibility of preparing good officers depends upon them. 

278 Principals belonging to various states & UTs including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, UP, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir etc. have been selected for this honour. All these celebrities were invited to the main auditorium of CGC Jhanjeri where a glittering function was arranged by the college. During the function the students of CGC Jhanjeri presented a number of colourful items including Bhangra, Giddha, Himachali Natti and other Cultural events. Expert talks an Life Skills by Dr. Gagandip Kaur Gulati, Multiple Intelligence by Poonam Arora & CBSE Co-Curriculum by Sanjana Katoch were also arranged.

Welcoming all the Principals, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President said that the foundations of a student are laid in the schools only. The colleges are successful in building a big career for a student only if his/her foundations are strong. Dr. G.D Bansal, Director General CGC said that the students of a school are generally much more disciplined than the college students. Dr. Bansal added that the employers of today have realized the importance of school education. As such in addition to the score of a student in professional degree like B.Tech, MBA etc., the companies give a lot of weightage to the marks obtained by a student in his matriculation & 10+2 examinations. Dr. Bansal congratulated all the award winners for their excellent contribution towards education resulting into a fascinating career of the students.
