Student Chapter of ISHRAE Launched at CGC Jhanjeri

With a view to give opportunities for practical application of the knowledge gained by students in the class rooms, Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri made a new beginning with the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE). ISHRAE established their student chapter in CGC for the Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry of India. Mrs. Arti Mehta, President Chandigarh Chapter of ISHRAE invited Aaron Jebin, Rishab Tiwari, Ankit Chauhan, Manpreet Singh & Shobit Rana of CGC Jhanjeri who took oath as President, Secretary, Treasurer and CWC members respectively for this Student Chapter. Congratulating all the office bearers, Mr. Cecil Akhai, Ex-President Chandigarh Chapter of ISHRAE and a renowned HVAC consultant said that ISHRAE prepares students for designing innovations and for improving existing technologies. This results in creating a positive impact on HVAC industry in the country. He gave a brief description about HVAC industry and discussed effects of HVAC applications on saving energy and making our environment healthy.
 
Speaking on the occasion, S.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC motivated the students to work on innovative projects useful for the society. He declared that the management will give full financial support in fabricating such projects. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General said that air conditioner has become a basic necessity in the current scenario due to increase in outside temperature and global warming. He said that in view of this, students interested in the field of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning have a bright future in store for them. He expressed confidence that with the support & expertise of ISHRAE, the students of CGC Jhanjeri will gain a lot of practical knowledge & will be easily employed by leading refrigerators & AC manufacturing companies like Voltas, Samsung, Blue Star, Carrier, Godrej, LG, Hitachi etc.
