Globalization combined with an economic boom has increased the demand for the commerce professionals. India will be requiring about 10 lakh commerce / management professionals in the coming years. Thus, it has offered a great opportunity for these professionals in India. Also, the Indian economy is growing at a rate of 8.6 percent per annum which has led to the demand for more commerce graduates globally.
We at CGC, Jhanjeri, Mohali groom our students accordingly by conducting workshops, seminars, conferences and interviews which help them gain confidence and face the real challenges in their professional careers. B. Com (Hons.)
The three years Bachelor of Commerce program from CGC Jhanjeri aims to endow the prospects with all the analytical and intellectual skills important in the field of commerce. Along with developing a core set of skills, the program will help to develop a clear understanding of economics and commerce. Moreover, B.Com. Graduates from CGC Jhanjeri develop the capacity to confront the challenges of wisdom and wit.
Several professional fields open up for students graduating in Bachelor of Commerce. Several organizations such as public accounting firms, industrial houses, business consultancies, merchant banking, and inventory control management, are always in search of competent and deserving candidates.
M.Com
Master of Commerce students at CGC Jhanjeri is given systematic and rigorous learning and exposure of the commerce and finance-related disciplines. Students are trained to develop applied, conceptual and research skills along with competencies needed for solving problems effectively. They learn to make the right decision in daily routine and special activities related to commerce, banking, finance, and business.
M. Com. Students at CGC Jhanjeri are given higher-level knowledge and understanding of contemporary trends in business finance and commerce. Students will be able to apply statistical methods and becoming proficient in using tools for analysis and modeling of business data. Students are prepared to appraise the operations and structure of banking systems.

Libraries
The Knowledge Resource Centre of CGC Jhanjeri comprises of two libraries, one dedicated to the management department and other for Engineering Department. The librarians and supporting staff at the libraries are highly cordial and supporting.
Laboratories
Giving adequate practical exposure to students is important and the state-of-the-art and well-equipped laboratories at CGC Jhanjeri provide premium learning experience to students. Here they experiment with the theoretical knowledge they acquired during classes.
Auditoriums
It is here all the cultural events and celebrations are held. With a seating capacity of nearly 600 people, the auditorium at CGC Jhanjeri is developed using the latest technologies and provides for the exotic visual and hearing experience for all the events held here.
Classrooms
The spacious and well-lit classrooms at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri ensures the lectures given are audible even to students sitting on the last bench. The window panes ensure that adequate sunlight is available during day time.

Banking
Fulfilling the banking needs of the students enrolled at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, a branch of State Bank of India along with an ATM outlet is opened in the college campus. Students don’t have to leave the college campus to conduct any sort of banking transaction
