Moot court competitions typically involve two teams of three or four students, each of which is responsible for arguing both sides of a legal issue. The teams prepare written briefs and oral arguments, and then present their arguments to a panel of judges. The judges render a decision based on the arguments presented.

Moot court competitions offer law students a chance to learn how to research and write legal briefs, as well as how to effectively argue before a panel of judges. These skills are essential for success in law school and beyond.
