CGC Jhanjeri, Mohali Champions the Cause of a Drug-Free India with Anti-Narcotic Cyclothon 2025
In a compelling display of civic responsibility and purpose-driven action, Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri, Mohali in strategic collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Chandigarh Zonal Unit, orchestrated a powerful initiative — the Anti-Narcotic Cyclothon 2025 — to commemorate the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The event was ceremoniously flagged off by the Chief Guest, Sh. Sambit Mishra, IRS, from the NCB Zonal Headquarters, Mohali. His stirring address emphasized the importance of collective resolve in building a drug-free India. Joining him were esteemed Guests of Honour:

Over 300 cyclists, including students, professional riders, faculty, and sports enthusiasts, participated in the early morning rally from Sector 66, Mohali to CGC Jhanjeri. The scenic route was lined with banners, slogans, and checkpoints for hydration and safety. With each pedal, participants spread the resounding message: “Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs.”
The rally concluded with a grand felicitation ceremony at CGC Jhanjeri. Top performers from both men’s and women’s categories were honoured, and all participants received e-certificates. Special appreciation was extended by the NCB team to CGC Jhanjeri’s leadership and the dedicated sports department.
As the sun rose over CGC, the air resonated with inspiration and unity. Through this impactful initiative, CGC Jhanjeri reaffirmed its commitment to cultivating a healthier, drug-free society—because awareness is the first step toward transformation.
