CGC Jhanjeri Celebrates Hindi Diwas with a Vibrant Poetry Competition Organized by the Literary Club

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, under the aegis of the Department of Student Affairs, proudly commemorated Hindi Diwas by organizing a poetry competition that celebrated the rich heritage of Hindi literature. The Literary Club – Mind Benders spearheaded this event, bringing together students and faculty to express their creativity through poetry and shayari, and to honor the cultural significance of Hindi.

Dr. Shivani Kaushal, Coordinator of the Literary Club, warmly welcomed the esteemed panel of judges—Dr. Manish Goswami, Director CPC, Dr. CS Jyoti Arora, Associate Professor (CSB), and Dr. Sachin Sharma, Dean DSA—each renowned for their literary excellence. Each participant infused their pieces with emotion, offering the audience a glimpse into the depth and beauty of Hindi literature.

The judges evaluated the participants on criteria such as presentation, language purity, and the emotional intensity of their performances. The event was a showcase of young talent, where every performance stood out for its creativity and passion, making it a challenging task for the judges to decide the winners.

The top three performers were recognized for their outstanding contributions:

* First Prize: Vinay Verma, for his captivating piece that resonated deeply with the audience.

* Second Prize: Abhay, for his eloquent and impactful recital.

* Third Prize: Shivam and Lakshmi Raj, for their heartfelt and beautifully delivered poetry.
