Fashion Design Department and DSA Collaborate for Craftopia Workshop The Fashion Design Department, in collaboration with the Department of Student Affairs (DSA), recently conducted a highly successful 3-day workshop titled Craftopia. This value-added course was thoughtfully designed to spark creativity among students by immersing them in the art of crafting various handmade products. Craftopia provided a unique platform for students to express their creativity while developing practical skills. Through hands-on activities, participants explored diverse materials and techniques, culminating in the creation of one-of-a-kind handcrafted items. The workshop aimed to enhance creativity and design skills, introduce students to various crafting techniques, and encourage innovation in producing functional and decorative pieces. The first day challenged students to design and craft unique neckpieces using clay moldit, allowing them to explore intricate details, form, and texture. On the second day, participants turned their focus to wall decor, experimenting with a range of techniques and materials. This activity allowed them to demonstrate their creativity in home decor while learning key design principles such as balance, symmetry, and color harmony. The final day was dedicated to crafting personalized nameplates, where students applied their newly acquired skills to create artistic, detailed pieces that showcased their growth and innovative thinking. Throughout the workshop, students displayed significant creativity and growth in their crafting abilities. Craftopia not only enhanced their technical skills but also inspired them to push the boundaries of traditional craft design. The vision of CGC Jhanjeri's management played a crucial role in the success of Craftopia. Aligned with their commitment to holistic education, this workshop reflects their dedication to fostering an environment where creativity, innovation, and practical skills are nurtured. By encouraging such initiatives, the management aims to equip students with the necessary tools to excel in both academic and creative pursuits, ultimately shaping well-rounded individuals prepared for the challenges of the future. The collaboration between the Fashion Design Department and DSA made Craftopia an enriching and successful experience, leaving participants equipped with new skills and a deeper appreciation for the creative process
