One Week Faculty Development Program on Effective Teaching and Learning Using Social Media

The Computer Science and Engineering Department at Chandigarh Engineering College, CGC Jhanjeri, in collaboration with NITTTR Chandigarh, successfully hosted a one-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Effective Teaching and Learning Using Social Media". This event was aimed to empower educators with innovative strategies to integrate social media into their teaching methodologies, acknowledging the significant impact of digital platforms on modern education.

The FDP, conducted via Google Meet, was inaugurated by NITTTR Chandigarh. Dr. Rini Saxena, Professor and Head of the CSE Department, along with all registered faculty members of the department, actively participated in the sessions.

The program featured expert speakers who provided valuable insights into the use of various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, to foster interactive and collaborative learning environments. Key outcomes of the event included:

  4. Utilizing Diversified AI Chatbots: Introducing various AI chatbots to aid teaching and learning activities.
  5. Tools and AI Prompts for Graphics and Academic Content: Providing tools and techniques for creating visually appealing and academically relevant content.

The practical sessions were highly informative and well-received by the faculty, who appreciated the hands-on approach to learning.

Dr. S.K. Gupta, the FDP in charge, concluded the program with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the NITTTR resource persons for their invaluable contributions and enriching sessions.
